Children of Eden

7th - 11th October 2008, Wilde Theatre, South Hill Park, Bracknell 7.45pm each evening

Children of Eden is a two-act musical play with music and lyrics by Stephan Schwartz based on a book by John Caird. The musical is loosely based on the Book of Genesis. Act I tells the story of Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel and Act II deals with Noah and the Flood. Athough the show is based around the bible it is more a story about mankind and it's struggle for independance and about the relationship within a family.

Somethings coming, something good.............. West Side Story

3rd - 7th March 2009, Wilde Theatre, South Hill Park, Bracknell 7.45pm each evening

 

The moment the curtain rose on Broadway in the 50s, musical theatre was at once changed forever.

Based on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and packed with unforgettable songs including Maria, Tonight, Somewhere, America, One Hand One Heart and I Feel Pretty, West Side Story remains even today 50 years on, a theatrical landmark.

Groundbreaking choreography by the legendary Jerome Robbins and a subsequent movie version that went on to win an incredible 10 Academy Awards (including Best Picture) further cemented the reputation of this undoubted masterpiece. Now Starmaker are about to enjoy a double celebration of their 21st birthday and West Side Story's 50th anniversary.

Directed by Dave Savage our Chairman, who Directed Starmaker's Les Miserables School Edition production and a wonderful orchestra and very talented cast, this promises to be one not to miss.

West Side Story will be coming to the Wilde Theatre, Bracknell in March 2009.
